Time Off

I have taken some time off my blog, it was not intentional, I have had some serious computer problems as well as personal issues that I have been taking care of. Now that my computer has been fixed, I will be blogging from time to time. I may not be able to blog everyday since I am not quite done with my personal issues yet.

I have been on top of the issues around us though. Since I last blogged, a lot has happened, for example Arafat has passed away (one less terrorist to worry about). Scott Peterson was convivted in the murder of his wife and unborn son. (I hope the jury is right) if they are, then he needs to be sentenced to death.

James Caville a senior democrat says due to the outcome of this election, the democratic party needs to be "Born Again" (you think?)

I will be here again soon. Until then remain in His grace.

I will appreciate that we have Jesus in common if not much else, I hope you will do the same.

The GOP is fantastic at using the words that we Christians respond to, but they do very little to back up the rhetoric and in many ways take absolutely un-Christian actions. Yes, the verbiage is there, and their faith may be there, but I wonder if they ever read the Bible with anyone willing to put up an opposing interpretation. Jesus told us to take care of the poor, the GOP tramples them. We are supposed to take care of God's creation, this planet, and the GOP allows ever greater pollution. Two of many possible examples.

I will go so far as to say that many (not all!) of the players in the GOP are todays Saduccees and it saddens me to have to say this, but you really need to hear it.

There is a wonderfully insightful book out, on the NYT bestseller list, by Jim Wallis titled "God's Politics...What the GOP Gets Wrong and What the Left Doesn't Get." I strongly recommend you read it. I will openly admit the the Dems aren't perfect either, but then none of us are.

I have a blog as well and invite you to post:
